About Us
Our Story
The Scarabs are an FTC robotics team representing Hazen High School in Renton, Washington. Established in 2014, this is our 6th year as a team. We participate in games released by FTC each year by designing, fabricating, and programming a robot. Being a team in the FTC program, it is extremely important that we demonstrate gracious professionalism in all aspects of our team. Whether we are at a competition, in our shop on a workday, or representing the team at outreach events, we strive to uphold this core value. Our ultimate team goal is self-improvement, and we prioritize learning.
Misson Statement
Our mission as the Scarabs is to proudly represent Hazen High School and First Tech Challenge by:
Upholding FTC's core value of gracious professionalism
Ensuring that all members of the Scarabs gain valuable skills that they can take beyond their high school experience
Maintain the success of our team throughout the years by retaining members and striving for self-improvement
Exposing our members to different areas of the STEM field
